It's Fall Foliage Time!

Who doesn’t enjoy fall foliage? Since relocating to Virginia, we weren’t planning on seeing a lot of fall foliage this year, as the only significant travel we had planned was to visit some of our grandkids (and their parents) in Michigan in September. However, a bit of schedule adjustment led to a few extra days in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and an unexpected treat of some of the most magnificent fall foliage we had ever seen (and that includes New England!). In many places we felt as if we were driving through a tunnel of vibrant reds, oranges, yellows and greens!

Wagner Falls, Munising, Michigan At right is a taste (click the image to enlarge it) of what we saw. This delicate little waterfall is Wagner Falls, near Munising, Michigan.

There are many more, with much more color, of the several waterfalls in the area, fall foliage along the roadway, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and more. These will show up here, some in color, and some in black and white, over the next several weeks.

Enjoy!
