*Apologies!* Since Google has shuttered its Google+ network, the links in this post are no longer available.
This weekend (well, 31 May 2014, actually) is the first-ever PhotoDay Around the World!
Co-sponsored by the Landscape Photography Community (the largest photography community on Google+) and 256 Shades of Gray, a private Black & White photography learning community on Google+, PhotoDay Around the World is conceived to be a fun day of photography for a world of photographers!
Local events all over the world have been set up by volunteer local leaders. Times and locations are on the PhotoDay Around the World Google+ page at https://plus.google.com/b/104006914745310760745/104006914745310760745/posts. To participate in a group in your area, just comment on the post for that area saying you’ll be there!
If there isn’t a group in your area of the world, you have two options:
- You can start a new location! Just send a message to me (scott at scottthomasimages dot com) no later than Friday morning, 30 May 2014 and tell me where you would like to have your event, the meeting location and time.
- If you don’t want to start a new location, you can still participate! Just go out on 31 May 2014 and post your photo at the PhotoDay event page by 5 June. Be sure to hashtag your photo with #PhotoDay14 and #PhotoDayYourLocation (substituting your actual location for YourLocation, of course).
Most of all, enjoy your photography!
